The exceptional expertise of Palafox Associates, a globally renowned urban planner, has produced another awesome master plan — the San Vicente Palawan Conceptual Tourism Master Plan (CTMP) in 2014. In 2015, it was approved by the Department of Tourism (DOT) / Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA).
The Local Government Unit (LGU) of San Vicente Palawan is now on the process of identifying which part of the Master Plan will be implemented in the municipality and a Deed of Restriction is now being formulated to carry out the plans into effect.
The Conceptual Maser Plan covers all the ten (10) villages/barangays of San Vicente Palawan. based on the likelihood of becoming developed and the tourism potential, the ten villages were divided into four clusters. Below is the resulting clusters, with Cluster 1 being the easiest to develop and having the highest tourism potential.
Cluster 1 (5 to 10 years)
Cluster 2 (10 to 15 years)
- Port Barton
Cluster 3 (15 to 20 years)
- Sto. Nino
- New Canipo
Cluster 4 (more than 20 years)
The Conceptual Master Plan also identified some key areas in each clusters as well as potential tourism activities.
While the Conceptual Tourism Master Plan covers all the 10 villages, the Integrated Tourism Master Plan focuses on the Long Beach are (Poblacion, New Agutaya, San Isidro and Alimanguan).
